Statement of the Press Service of the Diocese of Odessa

We inform that a permanent member of the Holy Synod of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, His Eminence Agafangel, Metropolitan of Odessa and Izmail, has refused to participate in the upcoming Holy and Great Council of the Orthodox Church. We note that Metropolitan Agafangel was included in the delegation of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church by the decision of the Holy Synod of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church on 4.19.2016 (journal no. 22).
